Driver Sammy Smith recently announced his exit from JR Motorsports following the season. Smith will not return to Dale Jr.'s NASCAR team for 2027. The move brings an end to a three-year run with the motorsports crew.
While sharing the news, Smith stated that the job isn't finished yet as he completes the final stretch of the current season. He will dedicate the rest of the year finishing out his final schedule with JR Motorsports before officially concluding his three-year tenure with Dale Jr.'s team.
