A beluga whale was transferred from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died a short time later. The move happened before the loss.
Marineland also sent four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no dolphins left. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff inspect the water and health conditions. Visitors observe significantly fewer animals. The park’s visitor count declined.
The wooded surroundings are unchanged. The water remains strong. The park houses only a few belugas. Visitors notice fewer animal shows. The water remains clear.
