Defense attorneys in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial rested arguments on day 18 after detailed psychiatric testimony describing postpartum psychosis. The psychiatrist told the court Clancy heard voices, felt as if controlled like a puppet, and was frankly psychotic. State lawyers are now bringing forward rebuttal witnesses to address the testimony. A prosecution psychiatrist stated under oath that Clancy told her children "go to God" at the time of the January 2023 stabbing deaths of their two young siblings. Clancy has pleaded not guilty on the grounds of insanity. The trial is reaching its final stages.
