Ryan Fox secured the victory by a single shot after a nerve-wracking birdie on the final green. Cameron Young seized the early initiative with a strong charge on the front nine. Fox took command with a clutch putt down the stretch. Tommy Fleetwood finished just outside of a playoff spot. Fox got off the major board at last on a brutal Open layout. Ferocious winds never eased up on the duneland course. Years of close calls finally ended in triumph on Sunday for the Kiwi.
