Australian Radio Network reported a $28 million loss paired with a 14 percent revenue fall for its first half. Legal fees and boycotts connected to the Kyle and Jackie O program cost ARN $55 million. This figure included a $38 million charge for damage related to brand safety. The network held responsible host Kyle Sandilands for the significant decrease in first-half revenue.
ARN chief Stephenson stated that the broadcaster lost metro revenue share rather than rivals winning it. ARN announced both replacement shows will go ahead this year.
