Nelson Toburen, a linebacker who claimed two NFL titles with the Green Bay Packers under coach Vince Lombardi, has died at 87 after a battle with cancer.
Toburen played during the Lombardi era, one of the most celebrated periods in Packers history. The team dominated professional football during those years, and Toburen contributed to that winning period.
After his playing career ended, Toburen went on to serve as a judge in Kansas, a role that became a central part of his legacy.
