American billionaire Mark Cuban has suggested higher tax charges on any company that does not offer stock options to its employees. Cuban presented the tax proposal as an idea to tackle wealth inequality. He noted that corporate tax policy could be used to urge businesses to share business shares directly with workers.
The proposal is designed to make jobs more lucrative by giving employees a financial stake in their employer. Under the plan, companies that provide stock options to their staff would not face the higher rates. Increased tax duties would apply strictly to businesses that fail to provide equity shares to their employees.
