Liverpool FC went public Monday saying it made a surprise move for AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche. The club is now in the hunt alongside Paris Saint-Germain. PSG turned down two earlier offers before Liverpool stepped in with a third bid. The 20-year-old forward has drawn looks from Premier League teams and also several French sides through the summer. Monaco will not drop below its asking fee. Both Liverpool and PSG have staff monitoring the situation the market ahead of the transfer window shut.
