Josh Worrell, Adelaide Crows forward, who is a key player, was in a serious crash that occurred Friday before training period for the upcoming Gold Coast match.
The accident hurt a nearby pedestrian, who authorities then took to the hospital.
Worrell was not detained at the scene of the crash.
Teammates told reporters on the sidelines Worrell seemed distressed after the crash.
Police now examine the incident as reported, and have released a official statement.
The club has indicated they will review if Worrell can play in the game against Gold Coast, pending medical clearance, if fit, and will look at the decision shortly.
