On Saturday a spirited elder holidaying at a RIU resort in Britain filmed herself pulling towels off sunbeds that other guests had marked as theirs.
The clip was posted on X and swiftly attracted thousands of views and comments.
Bystanders said the beds were obviously reserved, while others praised the woman for standing up to what they called “sunbed hoggers”.
The video triggered a run of similar recordings from other resorts.
Resort staff said they are set to review the incident and nudge guests of sharing rules.
The grandmother has not been identified, but the footage keeps being disseminated across social media.
