Eleven Edge Early Learning centres will shut their doors after administrators failed to attract buyers for the sites. Seven of the centres facing closure are in Queensland. The closures follow the fall of the operator, which has left families rushing to find alternative care arrangements.

Administrators managed to sell some centres in a fire sale, but the remaining 11 received no bids. Parents have been given very limited time to secure new placements for their children as the shutdown moves ahead.
