A building firm tied to a CFMEU scandal was lost its licence on Wednesday. Regulators stated the company was "not fit and proper" to hold a construction licence. The decision comes after a number of investigations into tender irregularities linked to the union.
At the same time, union groups mounted a public campaign on the anti-graft official who disclosed a $15 billion infrastructure rorts bill. The unions argue the investigator is harshly pursuing union members without cause. Officials responded that the probe is connected to a broader examination of the Big Build program.
