BYD has ended production of its cheapest electric car after weak demand forced the move. Despite its affordability, sales remained very low all year, so the manufacturer pulled the plug. At present, no plan has been announced to replace it yet.
The automaker then showed eight fresh models at the motor show. The range included a small city runabout to larger SUVs and crossovers. Visitors and reporters in the UK turned out in large numbers to see the new cars on display.
